There are restaurant options aplenty in Tokyo, but a new favorite for me is Franze and Evans. The original Franze and Evans store hails from Shoreditch in London, and they have a real focus on fresh, deli-style eats. The Tokyo location of Franze and Evans can be found on the trendy backstreets of Omotesando, and a peek inside the premises will have you drooling almost instantly.

The lunch specials are an easy way to sample several different menu offerings, with options including three salads and a drink for ¥1380, or a hot dish, two salads and a drink for ¥1580. The hot dishes on offer when I visited included lasagna, shepherd's pie or arancini balls - I opted for the lasagna and it was delicious.

Even if you're not in the mood for a full meal, the restaurant would be a perfect place to grab a coffee and a sweet treat with a friend. There are an incredible number of cakes, muffins, pies, and tarts to choose from - the hardest decision you'll encounter is which one to pick!

If you are planning to visit the restaurant, bear in mind that their last orders for the day are taken half an hour before closing time.

Getting there

Franze and Evans is located only a few minutes on foot from Omotesando Station, serviced by the Tokyo Metro Ginza, Chiyoda, or Hanzomon lines.
